Qualification exam – becoming a journeyworker

The qualification exam is the step where an apprentice must demonstrate that she has the skills required to become a journeyworker.

Admission and registration

You may be admitted to the qualification exam once you have completed 85% of your required apprenticeship hours. If your apprenticeship is 100% complete, the CCQ will send you a letter requiring you to register within one month. Failure to do so will result in suspension of your certificate.

You must contact the CCQ at 1-888-842-8282 to schedule your exam session. A $100 registration fee applies. This fee is non-refundable and valid for 12 months from the payment date.
